Her opinion of him has improved considerably, in the sense that Naoto feels less frustrated when she talks to him or at least comprehends his motives a lot more now. She gets where Mitchell is coming from, and although she still disagrees with him about a lot, she's gotten to the point where she knows he wants what's best for Tiger's Eye and is capable of listening and understanding as long as she's careful about how she approaches certain topics. Though she has written a few things off as just being impossible for her to talk to him about.

Mitchell's generally pretty happy with where they are right now. He feels like he understands her enough although she does still surprise him and he knows he's still not the best at dealing with her. He still thinks she would benefit from being more open and really needs more confidence but she's come a very long way since she showed up, so he's content not to push things unless it becomes a problem. She's very much on his Tiger's Eye pedestal in terms of morality and he trusts her to be a moral guidepost for him and also Sieh. She's starting to feel much less like baby teammate and more like part of the core of the team to him.

What are the things Naoto thinks are impossible to talk to Mitchell about?

The big one is Naoto's body dysphoria, which is something she would like her team to understand because it helps her convey her sense of disconnection, but is mostly resigned to it being something she keeps to herself. (the people she talks to about it the most are Kanji, Beatrice, and Sieh, I think) OBVIOUSLY SHE IS NEVER TALKING TO MITCHELL ABOUT HER LOVE LIFE IF SHE CAN HELP IT '-' She avoids talking about moral highgrounds with him as well, since they tend to disagree there more often than not. She gets kind of uncomfortable when he talks about killing, but knows that it's something she'll need to understand more to understand Mitchell's perspective, so she's getting more used to it.

What is the one thing Mitchell would like to change the most about Aather?

He'd make it completely safe if he could. Or if people have to get hurt, a better way of choosing who it is so it's only people who volunteer or are best equipped for it. He actually likes every other aspect of the place, he doesn't mind moving around or things being illogical or even the amnesia part.

What does Naoto think of Tiger's Eye in general? How does she see the team?

I think the simplest version is that TE is her functioning dysfunctional family that wants the best for her ~~even if we're all drunk~~ even if chaos reigns. They may not always understand her feelings, and they may all be hypocrites sometimes, but she knows they care and knows that that is what is ultimately most important. She appreciates that stability seems to be TE's main goal, since it gives her a sense of reliability within the team. She cares about everyone in her own way, but she's usually too quiet to express it. '-'

Have you thought about apping again, or is Mitchell the only one in your lineup for the foreseeable future?

I think about it a lot, but I think trying to play Yayoi proved that I'm probably best off with one Aather character at a time. There are quite a few characters I'd like to play in Aather though and the one at the top of the list right now is from Umineko so the cast is very tempting, but that would require a whole lot of canon review as well that I don't have time for so that helps to resist the temptation. I also have a feeling I might not be able to play at all in Aather when I start working full time next year, so I'm pretty focused on Mitchell's character arc and seeing if I can get some kind of closure with him in the next six months or so and maybe move him to legacy hero or something.

Does Naoto pay much attention to Aather's larger plot with the Personae and stories and things?

SHE DOES IN GENERAL I AM JUST AWFUL AT THREADING IT OUT... she does miss some things, but she's been keeping up with the concept of being bound by the story because it kind of echoes her concerns with Sieh, that the gods are bound by their own aspects and the consequences of that.

Spitfire enjoys playing with fire as it were, and the kiss was really nice except for for the heartzapping :x Poking at Mr Right is fun.

How are Spit and Sleuth doing?

Not bad, I think. She was a little >/////< at him during the kissing game, and in general thinks he is kind of presumptuous, but doesn't have any overly negative opinions of him.

How is Raenef doing in Aather so far?

Pitch is... settling in still I guess. Arriving right as ZOMG DARKNESS hit was kind of orz. He's still trying to feel like he belongs with Jasper... because some of their reactions were... well, they left an impression and most of it induced a '^' reaction of wanting to belong with them and be accepted as Jasper. But basically he's running on like 2-3 days of "normal", 3 or so days shipboard, and then Wonderland. Massively changing scenery every few days is not helping him to settle into his teammates or Aather in general. So hopefully he'll start actually settling in as things get more... uh... regular... in the new area. He cares for and worries about his teammates, but he's not really sure where he is in the "teammate" category. Feeling like an outsider is go... and may get worse with some of his memories. :|a

I use "Pitch" deliberately up there since he will be operating without the "Raenef" name and the immense power that goes with it until he can get the skill back. It wasn't a decision made initially, but it... works best this way, I think, since his powers and abilities are completely tied up in his name. So that will take some careful memory juggling to keep him from stumbling into his name before that skill. :|a

What's Naoto think of Sieh's family?

She has a generally good opinion of Nahadoth, and thinks having her around has been really good for Sieh for the most part. No real complaints there! She thinks Naha's concerns about Sieh's safety were well-founded and appreciated her approaching Tiger's Eye about it.

She greatly dislikes Tempa and thinks he's an arrogant selfish prick who doesn't deserve to be in the presence of Sieh and Naha, much less speak to them, but realizes it's not her place to interfere unless he's hurting Sieh. '-'

What's Naha think about Naoto?

Naha thinks she's cute, mostly--they haven't threaded a lot to have a strong impression of her as a person, but she's seemed patient, and both how she feels about Sieh and what she brings out of Sieh incline Naha to have a good opinion of Naoto.

They should thread more, though, so I can say more specific things.

Plans for Mr. Right?

I have a list of game ideas I want to flesh out sometime in the future, so that'll happen eventually. I mostly want more people to thread with him, since he's... got a pretty obvious weakness that will make him a lot more interesting to thread with than just THAT DICK WITH THE HAT. So obviously that means I need to antagonize people more :>b

The short version is that family is the best metaphor I have for Naha's feelings about Ruby, and considering the source material, it seems legit. That's not to say they are family LIKE NAHA'S REAL FAMILY. Like Sieh or even Tempa is family. They are family in a different way, but it is no less family like for that.

How does Naoto feel about Aather?

I am p. sure Naoto loses sleep thinking about what the hell the environment in wonderland is going to do next, or if her teammates are ever going to be booked or what kind of game they're going to be pulled into or!!!! and at the same time it's terribly intriguing, and she's really invested in fighting back the darkness and discovering every little quirk and intricacy in whatever realm they're in, on her own time and energy.

If Naha were a Persona, what kind of games would zie run?

I have actually thought about this! Unfortunately I don't have a very good answer because Naha's affinities aren't easy to organize into a game. Maybe I would steal Raven-mun's chaos butterfly idea and Naha would show up in other people's games and make things go off the rails.

BEATRICE-SAAAAAAN

So Naoto considers Beatrice one of her friends, which continues to surprise her a little considering their opposing alignments. She does really like Beatrice, enjoys talking to her, finds their conversations interesting, and finds Beatrice herself... actually really sympathetic sometimes, despite their obvious differences. She is still occasionally perturbed by Beatrice's moral compass (or lack thereof?!) but isn't against learning more about that and about her so she can understand instead of condemn. Naoto also gets the sense that Beatrice sometimes deliberately distances herself in order to protect herself and others... which she also sympathizes with, but would like to help her out sometimes. '-'

That having been said she still thinks Beatrice's advice on men is a bit ridiculous... (unsure)

Beato has an intense soft spot for Naoto, but it's more like... hmmm. There are people that she's very open about liking, particularly younger people, because despite everything she has a gigantic thing for children and a sort of... big sister/maternal attitude. Which I'm sure is due in part to her own shitty childhood, and how she likes to see children with supportive influences and love!! Naoto does not really fall into that category... but Beato has similar feelings for her, and so she ends up being kind of awkwardly restrained in her affection instead. Naoto's gender concerns really throw her for a loop because it's a topic that she has broached with... no one really...? She acknowledges it only in private self-derision, so seeing someone also struggling to reconcile themselves with the body they're in is just... ?!? So she kind of overcompensates for how uncanny/unsettling it is in trying to make sure things work out well for Naoto.

And it's a distinct theme in Beatrice's life that people don't try to understand her, so despite her apprehensions with being honest with people, it makes her quietly happy if someone attempts to read between the lines .///. Even if their conversations have sometimes brushed close to YOU ARE MORALLY WRONG she's largely a devil's advocate anyway and if Naoto will be continuing to speak to her instead of shutting her out, then she doesn't consider anything lost. How did Naoto's thing with Sieh come about :?

I essayed on Sieh and Naoto a little bit over here, but I will make a shortish version. Sieh arrived in Aather very shortly after Naoto did, and so a lot of their initial Aather development happened at the same time and in complement with one another. They've been building up a support system for a while now, which has been helped by the fact that TE is a very protective team and encourages stability above all else, I think. Sieh finds Naoto's problems sympathetic and vice versa even if they don't understand every little nuance and detail of each other; because of that, Naoto finds it easiest to be herself and feel comfortable around him than just about anyone else. A big factor in their relationship has been the fact that Naoto is on the borderline between childhood and adulthood as far as Sieh is concerned, which means she's still kind of within his realm, which fosters closeness between them by quite a bit.

Sieh is definitely the person on Tiger's Eye Naoto feels closest to, even before he kissed her. There is that trademark TE streak of protectiveness, which has been kind of constantly exacerbated by having Tempa around as well as Sieh's frequency of getting memories containing things like TORTURE and SLAVERY. :| :| Despite that, he manages to find ways to cheer her up and make her laugh better than anyone else, and encourages her goals and dreams--but gives her the distance she needs so that she doesn't feel caged in. Sometimes she thinks neither of them are equipped for a relationship, and as a result tends to kind of treat him as more fragile than he is (this is also due to the fiasco of the Jabberwock game and still in the process of figuring out just where Sieh is on the child-->adult scale for various situations). For the most part, Naoto is incredibly fond of Sieh, and feels deeply unprepared for whatever their future holds. She trusts him a lot, however, which is what keeps her from flipping out at the idea of being with someone.

Mr. Right's thoughts on how people handled his crown/feelings game?

For the most part, people reacted exactly as he expected them to! However, during endgame he got to experience some violent retribution, which surprised him at first. Mr. Right's aspects involve guilt and shame, and the middle ground between that is making people uncomfortable with themselves as far as he is concerned. Raising people up to the level of monarchs and then reminding them that they are only little heroes and knights being used as pawns in the Persona's games are exactly in line with his general motivations, although I won't say more for spoilers. :3

If Jaina was a Persona, what kinds of games would she run?

Competitive flight! Up to and including starfighter dogfights. Generally non-lethal, presented as flight simulations, though if she was a Persona feeling like throwing in one of those nasty twists one day, death in the simulation would actually be lethal.

Maybe engineering-themed games teaming up with Automaton.
